Kleen Car and Optimum Polymer, the leader in manufacturing innovative detailing products, would proudly like to introduce the release of an entirely new and improved version of Optimum Polish. Let's start with the fact that we know that there are many companies claiming their products are "new and improved". Many use immense hype and marketing to make you believe that they have a great new product. Some of these products may be very good and somewhat worthy of the hype. But we know that you grow weary of the promises and hype of any new product about which the company claims that they are the best or that they have something "revolutionary". We won't say that we are the best, or that we have something "revolutionary". We will just say that we worked incredibly hard, for many hundreds of hours, on so many different vehicles and paint systems, using countless formulations, to come up with our second generation product called Optimum Polish II.

Here's how we did it.

We strive to be the best and we want to have the best product on the market. With our good name and reputation preceding us, David was contacted by 2 major car manufacturers requesting some assistance with buffing products at their plants. They were having a bit of difficulty regarding the buffing products they were currently using.  The performance of those products was lacking for various reasons. They asked us if we could help solve those issues and make them a better product. We knew we could help and we began to develop a product that met their strict requirements and specifications.

We gladly accepted the challenge and began to make the best polish for these car plants, and while we were at it, the best polish on the market. We worked on many versions and endlessly tested them on the specific paint system of the car manufacturers we were asked to assist. We also tested the versions on almost every other paint system to make sure we would produce an all around fantastic product. We got very close with many of these versions, and some formulations proved to be excellent, but there were little things that we had to keep working on. We knew at all times that the car manufacturer needed and demanded perfection....So we kept working and making it better and better.

The relentless pursuit of perfection....

...is a real pain in the butt! No wonder Lexus has such great vehicles. We came up with numerous formulations that were great, but maybe not absolutely perfect. The perfection aspect was driving us crazy. But we worked on it and dialed it in, and in the end, it led us to our great new version of Optimum Polish II

Our new Optimum Polish II is aggressive for a polish. We found that what you can get this product to do as far as paint correction is almost like a compound. It's aggressive enough with a medium foam pad to remove more than just minor scratches and blemishes. With a soft wool pad, it becomes even more aggressive and will easily, and within seconds, eliminates 1500 sand scratch marks. On some clear coats, it will even remove 1200 sand scratches. Getting it to be aggressive wasn't that much of a problem. Getting it to finish off with a perfect shine and no swirls was a bit more challenging. There is a fine line in these "one product" polishes. Many will be aggressive enough to correct, but they will not finish off perfectly. In working with one of the car manufacturers, we needed this new polish to do just that. They demanded it!  Our polish had to remove sanding marks AND finish perfectly all in one step. We achieved that for them, and you will see that as well. It has the same great Optimum trademark qualities of our original formula such as incredible smoothness, a long working time, and no dusting. The gloss and final finish are also second to none. It can be used with any buffer, on any paint surface, with any speed, and with any pad. So, our "one product" polish will correct and be aggressive if you make it aggressive, while it will finish off flawlessly if you use it as you would use a final finishing polish.

We gave the car plants exactly what they wanted, but kept in mind at all times that we wanted to also release this product to the detailing public. So, we invite you to try our new polish for yourselves and be the judge. We hope that if you have tried our polish before and you already love it, then you will love this version even more. For those of you who still have not tried any of our products, we hope this nudges you just a little bit in our direction.

One last thing about how much work we put into this. All told we worked on this project for about 10 months and we tried dozens of samples to get it right. We also have kept the price about the same as our original formula. We found no reason to increase the price simply because we put in so much work and made a better product.
